My relationship with coffee started out overwhelmingly as love at first sip, and even though, that was virtually a lifetime ago, the memory still lingers on like it was yesterday.
It all began with me being awakened on Christmas morning to the tantalizing aroma of what I quickly learned was Coffee, percolating its way up into my bedroom, generating my endorphins, into a breathtaking orgasmic bliss. All the more thrilling, because, as of yet, we still hadn’t officially met.
With great anticipation, I leapt out of bed, grabbed my robe, and bolted down the stairs. In the kitchen, I discovered one of my soon to be soul mates starkly sitting on the stove, bubbling, gurgling and wafting out steam. Hot billowing charismatic vapours, jolting my taste buds into a mouth-watering state of complete euphoria. I could hardly believe my emotions. I was actually feeling a bit nervous! My palms were sweating; I was slightly vibrating all over. Surely, something this exciting must be illegal… I furtively glanced around, and thankfully we were alone. Somewhat hesitantly, I reached for a mug. I carefully poured my first mouthful, and to my utter surprise, my natural instincts kicked in, and guided me to use the correct amount of cream and sugar, to enhance this first time experience! I tentatively raised the mug to my lips… WOW! Utopia! WE seemed to be made for each other! Little did I know, the roller coaster ride had just begun…
Like all relationships, coffee and I had some ups and downs over the years. INSTANT COFFEE, POWDERED COFFEE WHITENER, ARTIFICIAL SWEETENER, and DECAFINATION are particularly memorable lows that immediately come to mind. What was love at first sip, almost led to a chemical disparity of monumental proportions!
But, fortunately for my coffee romance, my career moved me to Europe, where I quickly learned there were actually COFFEE DRINKING COUNTRIES, encouraging all the excitement in our clandestine affair to rebound with gusto!!
Just imagine, COFFEE BEANS, COFFEE GRINDERS, such technically advanced COFFEE MAKING MACHINES that revolutionized everything about coffee and me, I was completely rejuvenated…

DOUBLE ESPRESSO after dinner and on special occasions like Christmas, Cognac to Celebrate this happiest time of the year.
Our relationship has become almost ritualistic. Happily for me, this style has now become international.
So, wherever I go, my coffee romance is alive, well, and thriving. Coffee is the nectar for the GODS and Santa Claus. Ho! Ho! Ho! So I want you to know, that during this Holiday Season, every time I am sipping, I will be thinking of you and yours, and hoping and wishing that you are all enjoying this Festive Season to the fullest.
